These terms govern your use of the Rivo app and the rivoai-app.com website. By using Rivo you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
In these terms “Rivo”, “we” and “us” mean the operator of the Rivo app. Contact: [email protected].
1. Not medical advice
Rivo is a wellness and fitness app. Body composition, measurements, goal images, calorie and water targets, workout plans and AI coach answers are estimates generated by software, including artificial intelligence, and may be inaccurate. They are not a medical device, diagnosis or treatment and do not replace advice from a doctor, dietitian or other qualified professional.
Talk to a doctor before starting a new diet or exercise programme, especially if you are pregnant, have a medical condition, an eating disorder or take medication. Stop exercising and seek help if you feel pain, dizziness or shortness of breath. You use the app’s recommendations at your own risk.
2. Eligibility and account
You must be at least 16 years old to use Rivo. You sign in with Apple and are responsible for activity on your account. Keep your device secure and tell us if you believe your account has been misused.
3. Your content
You keep ownership of the photos, logs and messages you add to Rivo. You give us a limited licence to store and process them only to provide the app to you, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Only upload photos of yourself, taken with your consent. Do not upload photos of other people, of anyone under 18, or content that is illegal or sexually explicit. We may refuse or remove such content and suspend accounts that break these rules.
4. Subscriptions
Some features require a paid subscription. Prices, the billing period and any free trial are shown in the app before you buy.
- In-app purchases: payment is charged to your Apple ID account when you confirm the purchase (or at the end of a free trial).
- Auto-renewal: the subscription renews automatically for the same period and price unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
- Managing and cancelling: you can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions). Deleting the app or your Rivo account does not cancel the subscription.
- Free trials: any unused part of a free trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
- Refunds: refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple under its policies, at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Website purchases: if you subscribe on our website, payment is processed by Stripe, and you can cancel by contacting [email protected] or through the link in your receipt. Cancellation stops future renewals; access continues until the end of the paid period.
5. Acceptable use
Do not misuse Rivo: do not try to access other users’ data, interfere with or overload our servers, reverse engineer the app except where the law allows it, use the app to build a competing service, or use automated means to access it.
6. AI features
AI-generated content, including goal images and coach answers, is produced automatically and may be wrong, incomplete or unsuitable for you. Goal images are illustrations of a possible outcome, not a promise of results. Use your own judgement before acting on them.
7. Changes and availability
We continuously improve Rivo and may add, change or remove features. We aim to keep the service available but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
8. Ending your use
You can stop using Rivo and delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these terms or the law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
9. Disclaimer and liability
To the extent permitted by law, Rivo is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, including fitness for a particular purpose or accuracy of results. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any injury or health outcome resulting from following the app’s recommendations, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for Rivo in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.
10. Apple
These terms are between you and Rivo, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support, and is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any; Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo and are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties. Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement also applies to your use of the app.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless the mandatory laws of your country of residence provide otherwise.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top and, for significant changes, let you know in the app. Continuing to use Rivo after changes take effect means you accept them.
